Revolutionary War Sites Bus Tours November 8 and 11, 2007 - Marriott Renaissance Hotel, Spartanburg, SC We offer two optional [pre- and post-conference] Revolutionary War sites bus tours to Kings Mountain, Ninety Six, Musgrove Mill, Blackstock's Plantation, and other upstate SC Revolutionary War battlefields. Experienced Revolutionary War sites tour guide, David P. Reuwer, will direct these tours with additional commentary by Charles B. Baxley. Bus tour fees are $40.00 per person per tour including lunch. Thursday, November 8th 8:30 am - depart Spartanburg, SC - Marriott Renaissance Hotel 9:30 - 10:30 am - Battle of Blackstock's Plantation (Mike Burgess & John Allison) 10:45 - 11:05 am - Musgrove Mill Battlefield & State Historical Site (Ranger Brian Robson) 11:15 - 11:50 AM - lunch [included] at Musgrove Mill State Historical Site 12:40 - 12:55 - Lt. Col. William Washington at Hammond's Old Store - (drive by site only) 1:50 - 4:00 pm - Ninety Six National Historic Site - presentations by Ranger Eric Williams & park staff 5:45 pm - arrive Spartanburg Marriott Renaissance Hotel Sunday, November 11th 9:00 am - depart Spartanburg, SC - Marriott Renaissance Hotel 9:10 - 9:25 am - Battles of Cedar Spring (I) 9:35 - 10:30 am - Battle of Cedar Spring (II) - Patriots camp - Thompson's Peach Orchard - Wofford's Iron Works - Clifton (Charles B. Baxley - George Fields) Col. James Williams' grave, Gaffney, SC (drive by site only) 12:45 - 2:45 pm - Battle of Kings Mountain (w/ box lunch included) - presentation by Ranger Chris Revels 3:30 pm - arrive at Spartanburg Marriott Renaissance Registration for these bus tours are limited to 45 persons on a first come first served basis. Please bring good walking shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. All registrations are non-refundable after November 4, 2007.
