Beckhamville: Mickey Beckham
M.C. “Mickey” Beckham is a native of Rock Hill with deep roots in the colonial Rocky Mount, Beckhamville area of Chester County. He is the direct ancestor of William C. Beckham, the first post master of Beckhamville in 1811, and of Lt. Simon Beckham who was the last officer at Fort Dearborn in 1815, with orders to close the fort.

He counts among 11 male relatives who fought in the Revolution John “Jack” Beckham, a true scout and spy, written about in The Venturers by Meynard, History of Grindal Shoals by Bailey and Patriots at Cowpens by Bobby Moss. Jack Beckham was a brother in law of Gen. William Henderson, who succeeded Gen. Sumter.

Mickey is CEO of his own consulting firm, former senior development officer at the Medical University of South Carolina, an author of several medical articles with nationally and internationally known physicians, and is a graduate of Furman University with a masters degree from Vanderbilt University.
